IT Recognition Week: Leadership Message from Mazen Joukhadar
May 15-19 is TransForm SSO’s Information Technology recognition week. As part of celebrating this hardworking department and to mark this special week at TransForm SSO, we’re sharing a message from Mazen ‘Maz’ Joukhadar, outgoing VP and CIO, to his team on the challenges, efforts and progress of the department.
A Special Message from Maz to the IT Team:
Challenges often present us with an opportunity to find solutions we may not have initially visualized and that truth was demonstrated time and again by our IT/IM teams at TransForm SSO.
Thanks to the commitment and skill of our IT operations team over the last year, TransForm SSO has been able to overcome challenges and continue to deliver stable IT infrastructure, maintaining it and keeping it up-to-date with the latest standards. You have worked hard to enhance it and are continually looking at strategic improvements such as the work to improve the binary network for all our member hospitals. Your job is to keep it up and running smoothly and you have delivered that and more. You were also instrumental in projects that benefitted the community, including the efficient and timely set up of clinic and field hospitals during the pandemic.
I want to particularly thank our Project Management team. You have taken on every role we have asked of you, from Cerner HIE to Business Continuity Planning, and have been key liaisons for all ministry and provincial initiatives, building relationships across the province and supporting clinical transformation projects which will make a difference to a patient’s care journey in Ontario and help our care givers across the healthcare sector. TransForm SSO’s roles in these programs, with your commitment and skill, have been key to further demonstrate our place in healthcare delivery and how the resources we have are key assets to the strategic goals we have as a company and that support healthcare delivery as a whole.
To our service tech team, I recognize your commitment to being on site at member hospitals, your commitment and passion for supporting them and giving your all in tough situations. You are our front line – TransForm SSO’s essential workers – helping keep operations up and running.
Our Regional Service Desk is a team that had to be available at work each day, providing support to hospitals, triaging problems, assigning issues to appropriate staff, and you didn’t hesitate to take on additional work when you could to take the load off of your co-workers. Enough can’t be said of your dedication to your colleagues and our members.
Overall, I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to you all for helping take TransForm SSO to the next level in providing health care solutions to the region and extending throughout the province.
