TransForm Wins Top Spots with Digital Health Canada 2021 Awards
We are thrilled to announce that TransForm’s own Kim Ramirez and Dr. Tony Meriano have been recognized as Digital Health Canada’s Leader of the Year and Clinical Innovator of the Year respectively!
Digital Health Canada is a national organization committed to connecting, inspiring, and empowering the digital health professionals creating the future of health in Canada.
Nominated by Mazen Joukhadar, Vice President and Chief Information, Security and Privacy Officer, “four successful go-lives during a pandemic would not have been possible without Kim’s leadership and skillset both as a clinician and digital health expert. Her tireless work and passion for digital health adoption has resulted in moving the region’s hospitals from being paper-based to fully electronic, yielding better patient care and safety while creating efficiencies in clinical and business workflows.”
As this year’s recipient of Digital Health Canada’s Clinical Innovator of the year Dr. Meriano has been recognized by his peers as a champion for advancing the adoption and benefits of the hospital information system (HIS), serving as a champion and leader in encouraging design, implementation and use of digital health to improve knowledge-based practice and the quality of patient care.
Nominated by both Drs Luther Heys of Erie Shores Healthcare and Andrew Petrakos of Windsor Regional Hospital, they emphasize that Dr. Meriano “has a passion for leveraging digital health tools to enhance patient care for clinicians. He continues to provide leadership in this capacity and has been recognized as an enabler of clinical innovation within the region.”
We couldn’t be more proud of the clinical systems transformation team and what we have been able to accomplish through eVOLVE for our hospitals. Recognition on a national level of Kim and Tony only solidify what we already know – that TransForm’s expertise and passion for digital health has enabled our hospitals to provide better patient care while creating efficiencies to their clinical workflows.
