A message from Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Lori Marshall, President and CEO. Over this last year, our organization and our region has learned and transformed as the system becomes further embedded in the delivery of care each day. Despite the challenges faced implementing a new Hospital Information System (HIS) during a pandemic, it was accomplished and further illustrated the importance of a single patient record across the region. A standardized HIS with connectedness across the regional continuum allows for improved patient safety, outcomes, communication, and experience, while allowing providers the opportunity to interact more effectively and to provide care more seamlessly across all hospitals. Our Communications department has created the attached infographic which shares a snapshot of what we as a hospital accomplished this year.
